You could be the King, but watch the Queen conquer

rachaelsrambles:

Guys, hey, guys. Do you remember that time that Coulson called Natasha and she ended up forming the Avengers?  Remember how she did that by digging up Bruce Banner and introducing Steve to him then was the voice of reason when Tony and Steve were bickering and then how she brought Clint back from being mind controlled so that they can be a team? Remember that? Remember how the Black Widow out smarted a god? Remember that time she kept her shit together when the Hulk attacked her, even though she was really scared? Remember when she knocked an alien off his flying scooter and figured out how to drive it despite it being extrateresstrial tech, then got her ass up to the top of Stark Tower, found Loki’s staff and saved the world from being invaded by turning off the machine?

Remember how she was the central character of the whole freaking movie?

Anyone else remember that? I sure do.

How long did this take someone to make????

#do they even have crime in canada

Oh.
Yes.
This is good.

They have crimes but they just say Americans were involved and hand it off

captain canuck is actually a thing

There is no maple leaf clad superhero from an actual comic that I find interesting at all (Guardian/Weapon Alpha always seems like a total jerk, for one thing) buuuuut, uh. This is really hot. Like …
Yeah.

This is the best summary since some writer described Les Miserables as “A man steals a loaf of bread and never hears the end of it.”

Okay, who’s everyone’s headcanons for the couple … I don’t ship Thor/Loki, but it seems like it would fit. More creative interpretations welcome.

The Avengers was good and all …

… (like, really good) but, uh, I think I got a lot more feelings from Holy Musical B@man.

They are sort of similar in theme. Okay, more like genre? Like, superhero teamup thingamajigs. And I’m more of a Marvel fan than a DC fan so you’d think the Avengers would win out over a league for justice (the only reason that I watched JLU was because Zoe recced it) buuuuuut … Super Friends.

You guys.

Super bros.

(No, they cannot be objectively compared. Don’t worry; I’m not actually trying.

Yuletide

Guys, The Avengers (2012) qualified as a Yuletide fandom and I’m 99% sure that almost no one noticed.

The reason I say this is that only two characters were nominated in that fandom: Clint Barton and Phil Coulson. Now, I would read the heck out of a good Coulson fic, but I’m pretty sure if people knew that they could get away with writing/receiving Avengers film’verse fic for Yuletide then they would have fit a few more characters in there. I mean, some of the characters might be disqualified because their particular movies are too popular for Yuletide, but I’m sure more than two were eligible.
